Equinor Oseberg platform

At the Oseberg Field in Norway, Eight (8) Rolls-Royce RB211’s control systems have been replaced by our HC-CORE3 control system.

The original Flexitrend FT100 control system was installed in 1986, then upgraded in 2000 under the Cooper/EnTronic umbrella. Now the HC-CORE3 control system replaced the FT100 and all has been performed by the same Hengelo-based team.

HC-CORE3

The original Flexitrend FT100 control system was installed in 1986, then upgraded in 2000 under the Cooper/EnTronic umbrella. Now the HC-CORE3 control system replaced the FT100 and all has been performed by the same Hengelo-based team.

We have achieved a number of firsts for Holland-Controls in this project:

  • First RB211 driven compressor controls upgrade to the new HC-CORE3 platform (adding to the countless the team has installed since HC was founded in 2005);
  • First turbine driving three separate compressor bundles. The HC developed anti-surge controllers are seamlessly integrated into our HC-CORE3 software platform;
  • Newly developed HMI visualisation system using the latest available Aveva InTouch software.

Lead engineers for this project were Frank de Vries and William Birk.
