For almost 20 years Holland-Controls has continuously been on the edge of implementing the latest and greatest on PLC technology for various generations of our HC-CORE turbine control systems.

Holland-Controls executed commissioning support on a Siemens SGT-600 combined cycle plant, producing steam and electricity for internal plant use. The gas turbine, located at an animal food industry plant in The Netherlands, underwent its yearly inspection, the biggest scope being a level C with manpower mostly from #PowerTech Turbine Parts, instead of the OEM.

At Holland-Controls, we have designed and implemented several generator excitation systems over the past 15 years, primarily based on the Basler DECS-250. In 2019, we supplied such a system for a GE Frame-6 generator at Sappi Papermills in the Netherlands.

The Holland-Controls Services team recently delivered a fast and effective resolution to a breakdown at a long-standing UK customer site. The facility operates two RB211 gas compressors equipped with FT125 control systems.

Demonstrating our strong commitment to customer service, Holland-Controls Services UK was able to mobilise at very short notice to provide on-site support to an important customer on a North Sea platform in the UK sector.

A HC-DRIVE has found its new home at the site of our Norwegian North Sea client. An obsolete DS2000XP (Moog) was replaced by the universal valve motor driver from Holland-Controls: the HC-DRIVE.

Following the successful installation of six HC-DRIVE units in 2024, Holland-Controls by its Services UK team, returned to the site of one of the leading gas grid operators in Germany. The team performed combustion noise and exhaust emissions mapping of two SGT-A35 DLE compression units.

Holland-Controls Services has completed a project for an overseas customer who operates a number of legacy Cooper energy packages driven by Rolls Royce Avon 1535 gas fuel only engines.

The Holland-Controls team will be attending two well known events next month:
• Energy & Turbomachinery Network’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Workshop.
• Western Turbine Users Inc. (WTUI) LM meeting.

We are pleased to announce that Holland-Controls, through its service organisation, Holland-Controls Services UK, has received another significant order for several HC-DRIVEs.

For one of our UK, North Sea customers, we completed an upgrade to their fuel gas system. The upgrade involved decommissioning the legacy fuel gas isolation and vent valves, followed by the installation of dual Meggitt High-Speed Shutoff Valves (HSSOVs) and corresponding vent valves.

Two legacy En-Tronic Controls LVDT (Linear Variable Differential Transformer) signal conditioning modules from were returned to HC Services for testing. These modules are still being used to control the fuel metering valves on Siemens SGT-A20 gas compression packages operating in the North Sea for one of our valued customers.
