We’re heading to Calgary for the SGT-A35 User Group Meeting 2026, taking place from 28–30 October at the TC Energy Tower. This year, Holland-Controls is joining the event together with Tarco as a partner participant. And we’re looking forward to showing what this partnership can bring to SGT-A35 operators.
We’re excited to announce that Holland-Controls will be exhibiting at MEGAWATT 2026! Join us at Booth 70 to discover how our advanced control systems help optimize the performance of turbines, engines, and industrial plants.
Holland-Controls is currently undertaking a major control system modernization project for a valued client in the offshore oil & gas industry. The project involves upgrading obsolete automation systems responsible for controlling the platform’s essential and emergency diesel generator packages.
November may still seem far away, but we are already pleased to announce that Holland-Controls will once again be attending the MegaWatt Expo.
The event will take place on 18–19 November in Milan Bergamo, Italy, bringing together professionals from across the global energy sector.
After celebrating our 20th anniversary, Holland-Controls has had a good start to the year with the acquisition of a new important contract.
Old hardware, new problems? You’re not alone. Many operators are running gas turbines with control systems that are decades old. Spare parts are scarce, software support has ended, and reliability is slowly slipping away.
We’re proud to announce that the HC-CORE gas turbine control systems from Holland-Controls has now surpassed 7 million combined running hours across all client installations worldwide!
The final two HC-CORE3 control system retrofits for Equinor’s compressor trains have now been successfully commissioned, completing the full series of ten installations. The installations are a combination of power generation- and compressor driven SGT-A35s (RB211) as well as E-motor drives.
We are very proud to announce that we have once again secured a significant large project. We will be converting an ancient En-Tronic control system to our own HC-CORE3.
The application is for a large aeroderivative power generation gas turbine package.
For almost 20 years Holland-Controls has continuously been on the edge of implementing the latest and greatest on PLC technology for various generations of our HC-CORE turbine control systems.
Holland-Controls executed commissioning support on a Siemens SGT-600 combined cycle plant, producing steam and electricity for internal plant use. The gas turbine, located at an animal food industry plant in The Netherlands, underwent its yearly inspection, the biggest scope being a level C with manpower mostly from #PowerTech Turbine Parts, instead of the OEM.
At Holland-Controls, we have designed and implemented several generator excitation systems over the past 15 years, primarily based on the Basler DECS-250. In 2019, we supplied such a system for a GE Frame-6 generator at Sappi Papermills in the Netherlands.
The Holland-Controls Services team recently delivered a fast and effective resolution to a breakdown at a long-standing UK customer site. The facility operates two RB211 gas compressors equipped with FT125 control systems.
Demonstrating our strong commitment to customer service, Holland-Controls Services UK was able to mobilise at very short notice to provide on-site support to an important customer on a North Sea platform in the UK sector.
A HC-DRIVE has found its new home at the site of our Norwegian North Sea client. An obsolete DS2000XP (Moog) was replaced by the universal valve motor driver from Holland-Controls: the HC-DRIVE.
Following the successful installation of six HC-DRIVE units in 2024, Holland-Controls by its Services UK team, returned to the site of one of the leading gas grid operators in Germany. The team performed combustion noise and exhaust emissions mapping of two SGT-A35 DLE compression units.
Holland-Controls Services has completed a project for an overseas customer who operates a number of legacy Cooper energy packages driven by Rolls Royce Avon 1535 gas fuel only engines.
The Holland-Controls team will be attending two well known events next month:
• Energy & Turbomachinery Network’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Workshop.
• Western Turbine Users Inc. (WTUI) LM meeting.
We are pleased to announce that Holland-Controls, through its service organisation, Holland-Controls Services UK, has received another significant order for several HC-DRIVEs.
For one of our UK, North Sea customers, we completed an upgrade to their fuel gas system. The upgrade involved decommissioning the legacy fuel gas isolation and vent valves, followed by the installation of dual Meggitt High-Speed Shutoff Valves (HSSOVs) and corresponding vent valves.
Two legacy En-Tronic Controls LVDT (Linear Variable Differential Transformer) signal conditioning modules from were returned to HC Services for testing. These modules are still being used to control the fuel metering valves on Siemens SGT-A20 gas compression packages operating in the North Sea for one of our valued customers.
Have you ever wondered how a gas turbine control panel is built? This is the moment when all the preparation and designing comes together, most of it is done by hand by our talented team. Making sure the control panel is ready in time for shipment to our client’s location.
Even though we focus on the latest technologies, old operating systems also continue to come back to us for repair. It is almost as if, like a boomerang, these systems always find their way back to us.
Holland-Controls Services UK have now completed the first order of eight HC-DRIVEs destined for one of our oil and gas customers in the Caspian Sea.
These are replacing obsolete Moog DS2000XP fuel valve controllers for several RB211-24G (SGT-A35) gas only and dual fuel generator sets.
HC-DRIVE has been successfully installed for another of our valued UK North Sea oil and gas customers who were facing reliability issues with the existing obsolete Moog DS2000XP fuel valve controller. This was for their RB211-24G (SGT-A35) gas fuel metering valve.
One of Equinor’s high pressure compressor trains back in operation. That brings another project successfully to the end!
This marks number 6 out of 8 Rolls-Royce RB211’s in the Oseberg Field in Norway that HC has upgraded.
For one of the UK North-Sea Oil&Gas operators, Holland-Controls has successfully delivered Human Machine Interfaces (HMI’s) by replacing existing HMI computers, the related Engineering Stations and the customer interface servers.
From June 4-6, Holland-Controls will participate in this year’s ETN Global event held in Utrecht, The Netherlands. The User Group Meeting includes technical- and special sessions about the latest developments and upgrades for the LM2500, discussions and an exhibition.
Holland-Controls has successfully commissioned another project in Germany. At a power plant in Ludwigshafen, we implemented an engineered solution for a Solar Taurus60 SoLoNOx gas turbine, enabling the unit to run on dual-fuel operation.
In the last week of March, a shipment of new control panels was sent from our Hengelo premises (The Netherlands) to our Services division in Louth (UK).
Earlier in November Holland-Controls and Holland-Controls Services successfully retrofitted three HC-Drive fuel valve controllers (EMVs) for Open Grip Europe’s Siemens SGT-A35 DLE (RB211-24G DLE) whilst retaining the original fuel valves, actuators and wiring.
